Biography

Wenyan Deng is a Ph.D. student in international relations and political economy. She is interested in the intersection of party ideology and migration policies in developed countries, as well as social stability and internal migration in developing countries.

Wenyan graduated from Wellesley College (2015). Before coming to MIT, she served as a Junior Fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, subsequently completed her MA at the University of Chicago (2017), then worked as a data manager for the Chicago Project on Security and Threats.
