Nick Ackert
Biography
Nick Ackert is a Ph.D. candidate at the MIT Department of Political Science specializing in International Relations and Security Studies. Focused primarily on East Asia, his research interests include the impact of hegemony on regional integration, the role of identity in the formation of international alliances, and Chinese foreign policy. Nick graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Harvard with a concentration in Classics. Before joining the MIT community, he completed a double MSc in International Affairs (Political Science and International History) with Peking University and the London School of Economics.
